I’m passing this along because you hear so much about the Rebel Yell. It was one thing that helped scare Union troops in the dark early days of the Civil War. The Smithsonian has found a recording made at one of the reunions when there were Confederate soldiers till alive. This is many years after the fact by much older men, but I wanted to give you something to hear in your head when you read about it.
