Summer by Rhea

Rhea and Pioneer GirlAs part of last year’s summer reading program, my niece wrote a poem. In honor of National Poetry Month, she’s allowed me to share it with you.

Summer by Rhea

Summer is here!
Birdies are back,
I saw a deer.

Butterflies are out,
Get me ice cream or I will pout.

We get to swim at the beach,
We pick fruit and eat a peach.

Summer is here! Summer is here!
