I am the Chair of the Midwest Open-Air Museum Coordinating Council‘s (MOMCC) Foodways Resource Group. MOMCC is the regional association for living history and works in conjunction with the national association the Association of Living History Farms and Museums, whose national meeting I’ll be speaking at this June.
Both ALHFAM and MOMCC have several of such resource groups to help support specialized interests within living history, like artisans, historic clothing, technology for museums, etc. I’ve put together this time’s agenda for our historic foodways meeting at the Spring conference, but as part of it is news and resources in food history I thought I’d go ahead and share it with everyone.
